Smorodin Joins TPI as VP of Communications

March 9, 2010 – The Technology Policy Institute announced today that Amy Smorodin will join the organization as Vice President for Communications and External Relations effective March 15.

“Amy is one of the most talented communications professionals now working on the technology policy issues,” stated TPI President Tom Lenard. “I am delighted that she will be joining our team.”

“I’m very excited about joining the team at TPI,” Smorodin said. “I’ve long admired the work of the staff and am eager to help the Institute expand its reach in the policy community.”

Smorodin was most recently Vice President of Communications at The Progress & Freedom Foundation. Prior to joining at PFF, she worked at CompTIA as a Communications Specialist in the association’s public policy office. Smorodin also worked as Public Affairs Assistant at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She attended American University.
