Prabhu of AT&T Labs to Keynote Aspen Forum

August 5, 2011 – Krish Prabhu, President and CEO of AT&T Labs has been added as a keynote speaker at the TPI Aspen Forum, scheduled for August 21 – 23 in Aspen, Colorado. Prabhu leads one of the world’s premier research institutions, dedicated to advancing the science and technology of communications and information.

As president and CEO of AT&T Labs, Krish Prabhu is responsible for technical and operational activities in the labs and oversees all research and development. Prabhu has an extensive background in innovation and industry experience, derived from years at AT&T Bell Laboratories and executive roles at Tellabs, Alcatel USA and Tekelec. He previously served as a partner at Morgenthaler Ventures, where he assisted in developing information technology and communications start-ups. He has advised industry-leading telecommunications and semiconductor companies and served on a number of boards. Prabhu earned a B.S. in physics from Bangalore University, an M.S. in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Additional keynote speakers at the 2011 Aspen Forum, scheduled for August 21 – 23, include tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel, Senator Mark Udall, Harvard University Professor Dale Jorgenson, and Victor Nichols, Chief Executive Officer of Experian North America. Panel discussions will cover such topics as Information and Privacy: In Search of a Data-Driven Policy; The Internet in a Post-WikiLeaks, Post-Egypt World; Broadband and the Future of Video Delivery; Antitrust and Competition in High-Tech Industries; Cybersecurity: Public and Private Roles; and Copyright and Digital Innovation.
