Aspen Forum Panel: Streaming Video: Meet the Pirates

Watch this panel from the 2018 TPI Aspen Forum August 19 – 21.

The media market is changing rapidly. In this panel, TPI scholars present trends in video streaming based on a dataset of over a trillion observations of household online behavior. This research examines who streams what and the growth in so-called “virtual” cable systems. It also examines piracy, exploring not just who watches pirated video, but also the extent to which pirated video replaces legitimate video.
