Experts to Predict the Future of Movies, Music and Games at TPI’s Aspen Forum Next Week

WASHINGTON (August 15, 2019)  Experts  from movies, music, games, academia, and Wall Street will share their predictions on the future of entertainment with attendees of the Technology Policy Institute Aspen Forum, held August 18-20, in Aspen, Colorado.

On a discussion panel, “What is the Future of Entertainment? Streaming Innovation: New Outlets, New Threats,” leaders from each sector will discuss technology and policy issues shaping entertainment experiences for people across the globe.

The TPI entertainment panel will discuss: a) the shifting power dynamics between content, distribution platforms and consumers; b) whether the internet enables more media voices or centralizes consumer access points; c) potential conflicts of interest in the media ecosystem; d) key media industry learnings and cautionary tales; and e) the role of government in media, given consumers migration to technology and online platforms.

The annual, three-day Aspen Forum is held at the St. Regis Aspen Resort in Aspen, Colorado.
