Keynote speakers at the premier event, scheduled this year for August 20-22, include:

Deirdre McCloskey, Distinguished Professor of Economics, History, English and Communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago. McCloskey will discuss “How We Got Rich: A Liberal Climate of Ideas.”

A keynote discussion with privacy regulators Giovanni Buttarelli, European Data Protection Supervisor, and Maureen Ohlhausen, Acting Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, moderated by former FTC commissioner Julie Brill.

Jeffrey Herbst, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Newseum, will opine on “Technological Disruption of the Media and the Rise of Fake News”

Panelist drawn from academia, government and industry will discuss such topics as:

AI and Automation: A Jobless Future?
The Internet of Things: Connecting It and Protecting It
ICT consolidation: Business Imperatives and Policy Responses
