Technology Policy Institute Announces New VP Hire and Senior Fellow Promotion

January 14, 2019 – The Technology Policy Institute is pleased to announce it has recruited a veteran corporate and Hill committee communicator and promoted a current staff member, rounding out its senior team for 2019.

David Fish, who led communications for Verizon on policy, regulatory and related legal matters, is TPI’s new vice president for communications and external affairs. Sarah Oh, a researcher at TPI since 2017, is the think tank’s new senior fellow.

“We are delighted to have people of David’s and Sarah’s caliber at TPI,” said TPI President Scott Wallsten. “Their successes in the technology and broadband spaces will help fuel TPI’s continued growth and success.”

Fish directed communications for the U.S. House Committee on Commerce and U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources before beginning his corporate, think tank and consulting careers.

Before joining TPI, Oh directed research and operations for the Information Economy Project at the Antonin Scalia Law School. Her research interests include law and economics, regulatory analysis and technology policy.

Oh earned her PhD in Economics and JD degree from George Mason University. Both Oh and Fish earned their undergraduate degrees in California, she at Stanford University and he at Claremont McKenna College.
