WASHINGTON (June 30, 2020) – The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation today announced a $175,000 investment to support a Technology Policy Institute project led by Scott Wallsten to support research on competition in zero-price, attention-economy markets.
“As the antitrust debate continues, I look forward to partnering with the Knight Foundation to study new data and develop new insights into competition in the attention economy,” TPI President Scott Wallsten says. “We are excited about the opportunity to work on this issue and eager to contribute thoughtful and scholarly work.”
The Technology Policy Institute project is one of 20 projects that together received a total of $1.7 million today from Knight as part of its $50 million commitment to catalyze new research to inform how technology is transforming our democracy.
