November 18, 2016 – The Technology Policy Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Martin to its board of directors. Martin currently serves as Senior Analyst, Entertainment and Internet, at Needham and Company.
“We are delighted to have Laura join our board,” said TPI President Scott Wallsten. “Her extensive experience as a Wall Street analyst covering the internet, cable and media markets will be invaluable to TPI. We look forward to Laura’s advice and counsel.”

Martin joined Needham & Company in 2009, where she publishes research on the largest internet, entertainment and cable companies. In 2004, she founded Media Metrics, LLC publishing equity research on the largest entertainment, cable and internet stocks in the U.S., where she was nationally ranked as “Best of the Independent Research Boutiques” by Institutional Investor. Martin was previously Executive Vice President of Financial Strategy and Investor Relations for Vivendi Universal in Paris, and worked as a media analyst at Capital Research & Management and Credit Suisse First Boston. Martin began her career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in media investment banking. She received her BA from Stanford and her MBA from Harvard Business School. She also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
